Letter108

Staying in touch is no longer time-bound. I can send an e-mail even at midnight whether our meeting on Monday at noon will be at a different location -> volunteer work. I hardly ever use the telephone directory anymore. I look up telephone numbers on the Internet.
We learned the news of the passing of a fellow volunteer by e-mail. It arrived sooner than if the message would have been sent by regular mail.
I do not send E-cards. But I do post a personal message on Facebook. Or I do send a paper postcard after all.

Without the Internet there would be less contact with children that are living away from home. Appointments and information are exchanged by e-mail. We also keep each other informed on little things through Whatsapp.
I would not have met my partner without the Internet and we would also be in touch less often. We exchange thoughts through msn and (YouTube) music.
