Internet influences me in different aspects: emotional, cultural and politically. In my case, I need to be informed because of my daily activity as social communicator and social activist.
I think that, in an urban setting with more and better access, Internet would be a positive influence for the development of the collective intellectual imaginary. In the case of Cuba, the telecommunications monopoly squeezes the pockets of the people because their need for information motivates them to continue paying for the internet service (of bad quality and impossible prices).
It is important to say that, in the WiFi Points that I have visited in my city, the phrase “Take me out from here” appears in many computers, written by young people who use internet to communicate with their family and friends in other countries.
